I was reading in Genesis recently and was captured by the beauty of the mystery of God's creation- his actual creating of the heavens and the earth. Wouldn't it be great to have been there as he spoke things into existence? The thought of that takes my mind to the Magicians Nephew by C.S. Lewis. Oh to see light come out of nothing and to watch as the waters were separated and the earth was formed and molded into place. I often wonder if we will ever get a tour of all the universe while in heaven.
God created so much in one day. He did it 6 times in a row- created a lot in one day. The majesty of his power. "Oh the depths of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God. How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! - Romans 11:33
Today is my first day in the office. My hope is that today and each day that follows are days that bring God glory and proclaim his name. I am thankful for new beginning and new mercies. God is worthy of all praise!
If you have a few minutes, I would encourage you to check out the following link and praise God for his majesty and power:
